5 Things: Things You Might Need to Know in Wrentham

1. The Wrentham Food Pantry is located in the Wiston House behind the Original Congregational Church at the corner of Route 140 and Route 1/A. It is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. noon.  Residents may sign up by showing a photo ID and proof of their residency (such as dated mail like a utility bill is preferred) during hours of operation. Monetary donations may be mailed to P.O. Box 657, Wrentham, MA 02093. Food donations can be dropped off at Saint Mary's Church, the Original Congregational Church, Trinity Church, and the Wrentham Public Library. The Food Pantry appreciative of healthy snacks for children (such as fruit cups, cheese & crackers, and juice boxes). 2. Sweatt Beach is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The daily fees are $4 for adults and $3 for children, regardless of residency, if don't have a season's pass.

3. Fiske Public Library is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Tuesday through Thursday. It is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays. The library is closed Monday and on Saturday and Sunday in July and August.

4. Dog licenses in Wrentham are good for a calendar year. The license period begins Jan. 1 and ends at the end of March. You can find out more information on dog licenses here. 

5. The Wrentham Building Department is located at 350 Taunton St. and all inspections must be called into the office between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. They ask you don't leave a inspection request on answering machine. For more details and information, check out their website.
