5 Things: Selectmen and School Committee to Meet

In today's edition of 5 Things You Need to Know, the Board of Selectmen and KP School Committee are scheduled to have meetings tonights, the KP golf team starts their season today, and more!

1. Rainy with a High of 76

After the beautiful Labor Day weekend, the National Weather Service is forecasting a 60% chance of precipitation during the day with thunderstorms possible after 2 p.m. with ran and thunder potentially continuing into the evening. The high is expected to be around 76 degrees with a low of 67.

2. Selectmen to Meet

The Wrentham Board of Selectmen will meet tonight at Town Hall at 6:45 p.m. Agenda items for tonight's meeting include a discussion on placing a no left turn sign near the Dunkin Donuts on Franklin Street to help with the flow of traffic on weekday mornings.

3. School Committee Also to Meet

Due to the holiday, the King Philip School Committee's meeting will take place tonight instead of last night. Among the items being discussed tonight will be AP test scores and an update on the athletic fields.

4. Golf to kick of Fall Sports

The KP Golf team will kick off their fall athletics campaign today when they travel to Foxborough Country Club to face the Foxborough Warriors at 3:15. It will be the first regular season contest of the season for any KP team this year.

5. Yoga at the Fiske Library Starts this Week

The Fiske Public Library will start offering yoga starting on Thursday, September 6 at 9:30 a.m. The cost to sign up is $65 and interested participants can register at the library.
