5 Things: Motown Night at Terrace Cafe, Drive a Toyota for Charity, KP to Offer Concussion Testing, and More

It's Motown Night at the Terrace Cafe, The Wrentham Village Outlets are offering shoppers to test drive a Toyota for charity, and more!

1. 82 with a Chance of Showers

According to the National Weather Service, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 a.m. The rest of the day should be partly sunny with a high around 82 degrees. There is a 40% chance of rain. In the evening, expect a low around 62 and some patchy fog after 2 a.m.

Starting at 6 p.m. tonight, the Terrace Cafe at Wrentham Common will be hosting Motown night as The Mango Trio perform songs made famous from the legendary record label. In addition, the dinner special will be Tuna Filet with wasabi sauce and baby spinach.

3. Drive a Toyota for Charity

Toyota will be offering test drives of their line of vehicles from noon to 8 p.m. today at the Wrentham Outlets. For every drive taken, Toyota will make a charitable donation through their Drive for a Cause program. American Red Cross, AMVETS, and the National Park Foundation are all supported by Drive for a Cause supports. All drivers must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license. Times and dates are subject to change.

4. Concussion Testing for KP Students

The King Philip School District will be offering concussion testing for all students in grades 7 - 12. Testing will take place at the King Philip Regional High School on August 21, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every hour. Any parent interesting in having their child tested can call the main office at (508) 384-1000 to schedule your appointment. An appointment must be scheduled for a student to get tested.

5. Don't Forget to Register to Vote!

As we mentioned on the site yesterday, tomorrow, August 17 will be your final day to register to vote in the State Primary on September 6. Anyone interesting in registering can stop by the Town Clerk's office in Town Hall on the last day from 8 a.m. to noon or in the Town Hall lobby from noon to 5 p.m.
