5 Things: First Day of School, 4 Paws Yard Sale, KP Football to Scrimmage, and More!

1. Rain and Thunder Likely

According to the National Weather Service, showers and thunderstorms are likely before 3 p.m. with a 70% chance of precipration during the day. Otherwise, expect a mostly cloudy day with a high near 81 degrees. Tuseday night should bring a clear evening with a low near 57.

2. First Day of School

Today is the first day of elementray school for Wrentham students. Just a reminder that this will be a three day week as the students will get this Friday off plus Labor Day the following Monday.

For those who still need to see the bus schedules, both the kindergarden and elementary school bus routes have been posted on the Wrentham Public Schools' website.

3. 4 Paws Yard Sale

The 4 Paws Animal Shelter will hold their second annual yard sale on Saturday, September 22 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Sunday September 23 from 8 a.m to 2 p.m. at 69 South St. on Route 1A in Plainville.

The rain date will be the following weekend September 29 and 30.

4Paws is unable to accept electronics, stuffed animals, and exercise equipmen. All other gently used items will be gratefully accepted.

4. Primary Ballots Available to View

The Town of Wrentham has put on their website the ballots for next month's primary elections. Viewers can now see what the ballot for the Democratic, Republican, and Green Party Primaries will look like. The State Primay is set for Thursday, September 6.

5. Scrimmage in Norwood

After some time away at camp, the KP football team is back and will scrimmage at Norwood today at 4 p.m. The Warriors return to practice Thursday afternoon in preperation for their first game at Dover, NH on September 7.
