In today's edition of Five Things You Need to Know, The KP marching band get ready for their preview show, Stony Brook prepares for their fall fair, learn where where you can rewatch last night's debate between Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren

1. Sunny with a High of 69 Degrees

Here is today's forecast according to the National Weather Service.

  • During the day: Patchy fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 69 degrees. Light and variable wind becoming east five to seven mph in the morning.
  • Friday night: Patchy fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 51 degrees. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

2. KP Sports Update

After a pack day on Thursday, the varsity teams at KP High School will be off today. To see the latest scores, check out the KP Scoreboard on the font of our site. The next game to watch out for will be on Saturday night when the football team heads to Westwood for an out of league showdown.

3. Brown/Warren Debate Encore

Miss last night's debate on TV or want to see it again? CBS Boston.com has made the first televised debate between Senator Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren. The next debate takes place on October 1 at UMass Lowell.

 

4.  King Philip Marching Band Preview Show

The King Philip High School marching band will be holding a special preview show on September 23 at 6:00 p.m. on the football field at the high school. This year's show is called "Through the Looking Glass,” and features the music of Prokofiev. 


5. Fall Fair at Stony Brook

Join Stony Brook in Norfolk as they celebrate their 34th fall fair!  There will be a field full of crafters selling their handmade wares, live music, children’s games and crafts, animal presentations, trail walks, creature contests, cake walks and more.  Entertainment includes live music, Eyes on Owls presentation, bouncy house, live animals, children’s games and crafts and a craft fair.
