  • Today: Showers, mainly after 3pm. Patchy fog before 2pm, then Patchy fog after 4pm. High near 68. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
  • Tonight: Showers, mainly before 11pm. The rain could be heavy at times. Low around 54. Light north wind. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

 

2. Wrentham Village Premium Outlets Team up With Susan G. Komen

The Wrentham Village Premium Outlets are teaming with Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to support breast cancer awareness, outreach, research, and treatment programs in its local community.

During the month of October, shoppers can visit the on-site Information Center to donate $10 to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and then enjoy a rewarding day of shopping at the on-site Premium Outlets® Pink Event. For each donation of $10 or more, shoppers will receive a special savings card filled with “25% off one single item” offers from Barneys New York Outlet, Bloomingdale’s The Outlet Store, David Yurman, Elie Tahari, Joe’s Jeans, KateSpade New York, Lucky Brand, Polo Ralph Lauren, Ted Baker London, Tommy Hilfiger, Williams-Sonoma Outlet and more.
Donations will be accepted on-site only via cash or credit, with all contributions benefiting the Greater Boston Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

3. Town Government Study Committee to Meet Tonight

The Town Government Study Committee will hold a joint meeting tonight with the Board of Health, Zoning Board of Appeals, Building Committee, Open Space Committee, Trout Pond Betterment Committee, Planning Board, Conservation Commission, Economic Development Commission and Solid Waste and Recycling Committee. 

The committee will meet tonight at 7:00 p.m. at King Philip High School in room 103.

 

4. King Philip Golf Back on the Road

The Warriors will tee off today against Taunton at Segregansett Country Club at 3:15 p.m. KP is currently 6-4 on the links.

 

5. Bugworks at Fiske Public Library

The Fiske Public Library invite parents and children under six to sign up and attend an a 50 minute hands-on program on live bugs. and limited to 30 children. 

Bugworks is a company that provides education on bugs. The program will be taught by by either Maire Anne Diamond or Andrea Kozo. Both have had over eight years experience conducting live insect presentations. 

Registration is required and is limited to 30 children.
