Wrentham will be holding a parade Monday as the town celebrates Memorial Day.
Ken Oles, the town's veterans' agent, said the day starts with veterans gathering on Randall Road at 10am.
"The parade starts off at 10:30am," he said. "There's a short march to the Wrentham Center Cemetery, where there will be a ceremony."
Oles said the parade will then reform and march to the Wrentham town common, where another ceremony will take place at the monuments and the parade will conclude.
According to Oles, turnout is generally very good in Wrentham.
"[The number of veterans] varies every year — we're losing some of the older veterans," he said. "We get almost 1,000 people at the town center, depending on the weather."
Oles said the parade is not the only way veterans are honored in town Monday
"We do have some veterans from American Legion Post 225 who go out early in the morning to the cemeteries in Sheldonville," he said.
