Update: Wrentham Police Respond to Slashing
Teen arrested in domestic incident involving a razor.
Update: The Wrentham Police Department has issued a release with further details on the case.
According to the department, Demartino allegedly assaulted his mother with an airsoft rifle. Police said Cornell stepped into the altercation. According to police, Demartino then grabbed a razor blade and slashed Cornell's hand.
Original: A Wrentham teen was arrested Tuesday night after a domestic incident in which he allegedy slashed another man with a razor, according to police.
Marcello Demartino, 17, of 143 Shears St., was arrested for the incident.
According to Wrentham police, officers received a 911 call at approximately 7:45pm reporting a domestic incident on Shears Street.
They arrived to find alleged victim Christopher Cornell bleeding profusely from a slash to his hand. Wicked Local Wrentham is reporting a razor was used in the disturbance.
Police said Cornell was transported to Boston Medical Center, and Demartino was taken into custody.
Demartino will be arraigned on two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in Wrentham District Court Wednesday, according to police.
