Wrentham Native Russ DeRemer of Syracuse Basketball Named School's Scholar-Athletes of the Week
The guard from Wrentham was named the Syracuse University Orange Scholar-Athletes of the Week for the week of November 26, 2012.
The Wrentham native is a guard for the school's basketball team and was given the honor for his outstanding performance in the classroom.
Since coming to Syracuse, DeRember has been a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for each of his four semesters at the school. As a freshman and sophomore, he was also a member of the Big East All-Academic team.
DeRember majoring in finance and policy studies.
