Week in Review: Principal Search, 495 Crash and Unemployment
Looking back at the week of May 21 to May 26.
1. The King Philip School Committee met Monday and discussed the search for a new high school principal. Superintendent Elizabeth Zielinski announced that the district had received 40 applications for the position.
2. The Wrentham Fire Department responded to an accident on Route 495 South. One woman was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
3. The Lindt Chocolate Shop at the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets announced it would be reopening Saturday, May 26 after a monthlong renovation.
4. The state Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development released local unemployment rates Tuesday. Wrentham's unemployment rate fell to 5.3 percent in April.
5. The town of Wrentham and its employees announced Thursday that they had reached a deal to make cost-saving changes to their health plan.
