Week in Review: KP Principal, Staycation and Teacher Layoffs
Looking at the week of May 7 to May 12.
1. The King Philip School Committee met on Monday night and members spoke to a contingent of students disappointed in layoff notices given to teachers.
2. The committee also heard that high school Principal Robert Wargo had tendered his letter of resignation. The district is seeking applicants for a search committee.
3. A Sharon woman was charged for allegedly stealing from a Wrentham family while working for them as a babysitter.
4. Following the results of Foxborough's election during the week, Steve Wynn and Robert Kraft announced they had dropped the proposal for a casino in town.
5. Wrentham and Foxborough readers named Gilbert Hills State Forest as the best place to spend a staycation in the area.
