Week in Review: Fire, Budget and KP Committee

Looking back at April 8 through April 13.

1. There was a three-alarm house fire in Wrentham on Easter Sunday. The fire hit a house on Desert Brook Road, though luckily no one was harmed.

2. The Wrentham Elementary School Committee met on Tuesday, and discussed the way the current budget proposal would affect the district. Superintendent Jeffrey Marsden said this year's process was much smoother than those in past years.

3. A Wrentham seat on the King Philip School Committee will likely be filled through appointment, as the town failed to elect a representative in last week's election. We spoke with Superintendent Elizabeth Zielinski about the appointment process.

4. The King Philip softball team played Mansfield on Tuesday and won, 5-4. The baseball team also faced off against the Mansfield team and took the win.

5. The KP girls tennis team evened its record at 2-2 after playing Ashland on Wednesday.
