Week in Review: Stadium Turf, Emergency Shelter and Redistricting

Looking at the week of Nov. 6 - Nov. 11.

1. Friday was Veterans Day. We had a photo gallery and video of Wrentham's ceremony honoring those who have served (and are serving) their country.

2. The Wrentham Elementary School Committee met on Tuesday and discussed the district's response to the Snowtober storm. Superintendent Jeffrey Marsden spoke about the possibility of using one of the schools as a town emergency shelter.

3. The King Philip School Committee met on Monday, and it heard an update on the high school's stadium turf. Members of the Gridiron Club said the field is overused, and an artificial field would be an improvement.

4. The state legislature released a proposed redistricting map this week. In the map, Wrentham would move to the fourth district, which is currently represented by U.S. Rep. Barney Frank.

5. The King Philip Warriors football team defeated the Canton Bulldogs, 37-13, on Friday night.
