Wrentham held a short Veterans Day ceremony on the town common Friday morning.
The event featured speeches, an honor guard, the playing of "Taps" and a recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.
Richard Bergman, of the Wrentham VFW, was one of the speakers.
"May the souls of all our departed comrades be blessed by all the citizens of America," he said.
He pointed out how the day was originally Armistice Day, which celebrated the end of hostilities in WWI.
