Norfolk Arrests: Larcenies and Protective Custodies
For the second half of September, the Norfolk Police Department arrested and charged three men with larceny over $250.
September 25, 2012
At 1:23 p.m., Officer Eric VanNes arrested Michael Couto, 45, of 631 Brock Avenue, New Bedford and Chelsea Smith, 21, of 172 Algonquin Avenue, Mashpee. The two men were attempting to break into the house but a call to the police from the 16 year old girl in the house, led to the arrest of both men.
Both Smith and Couto were arrested and charged with four counts of breaking and entering during the daytime, three counts of larceny over $250, and possession of a burglarious instrument.
At 9:34 p.m., Officer Eric Vanness took a 34 year old male from Norfolk was taken into protective custody.
September 27
At 8:33 p.m., Officer Thomas Degnim took a 52 year male from Wrentham into protective custody.
September 29
At 2:25 p.m., Karl Bona, 18, of 19 Valerie Drive, Plainville was arrested and charged with larceny over $250. Bona was later released on cash bail.
