The Sharon High School girls tennis team continued its winning streak Wednesday with a 3-2 win over visiting King Philip.

Senior tri-captain Melissa Yuan defeated KP senior Jill Beers at first singles, 6-1, 6-4.

At second singles, junior Faina Volf beat KP sophomore Rachel Palumbo, 6-1, 6-0.

Senior Danielle Edmonds lost her first varsity singles match, 0-6, 0-6, to KP junior Kendra Primavera at third singles.

Senior tri-captain Alannah Waisel and senior Rachel Bashein triumphed in two sets in first doubles over KP senior Emily Delaney and junior Hailey Burke, 6-0, 6-1.

At second doubles, junior Grace Wong and sophomore Nikki Kareddy lost in three sets to KP juniors Michaela Gaudet and Sydney Holmes, 6-3, 2-6 and 6-0.

The Sharon High School boys tennis team defeated host King Philip, 5-0, Wednesday.

At first singles, senior co-captain Vivek Nangia won, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4).

At second singles, freshman Peter Hu won, 6-1, 6-1.

At third singles, senior Aditya Puttigampala won, 6-0, 6-1.

At first doubles, the team of senior co-captain Eric Bloom and junior Jake Steinberg won, 6-1, 6-3.

At second doubles, the team of senior Ben Gilman and junior Josh Dobbin won, 6-1, 6-0.

The Eagles (4-0) next host Attleboro at 3:45 p.m. Monday.
