Afer being released by the Seattle Seahawks last year. it looked like former King Philip High standout Lofu Tatupu was going to be done with his Pro Bowl football career.

“At a certain point I just stopped working out,” Tatupu said Tuesday to the greenvilleonline.com. “I thought it was over. I was really ready to send those papers in.”

Now, three-time Pro Bowl middle linebacker is at the Atlanta Falcons mini-camp, trying to return to the NFL after missing the entire 2011 season.

“I’m excited about the whole process and just being back playing ball again,” Tatupu said.
