Recently, Bishop Feehan High School’s Advance Placement Literature and Composition students immersed themselves in the characters in the novel Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky by participating in a “mock” trial.

“It is a wonderful class project,” said Jeffrey Day, Chair of Feehan’s English department and teacher of this class, “and a true authentic assessment opportunity -- because the students enjoy the dramatic presentation while becoming more intimately involved with the text than they ever would just studying for a test over it.”
