5 Things You Should Know Today: August 31

Here's what's happening around town today, Wednesday, August 31.

1.  The Fiske Library will hold a few activities today:

  • A special children's program "Dinos, Hippos & Bunnies, Oh My!!" will take place at 10am. Children ages 3-6 are invited to join Emily Moore, eighth grader at Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School, to read and explore books by Sandra Boynton along with fun crafts and songs for her Capstone Project.  Please register at the Front Desk.
  • Stop by to watch a foreign film in the Sweatt Meeting Room at 7pm. This free event requires no reservations.

2. Seniors are invited to this months Bingo event at the Wrentham Senior Center at 12:30pm. The only cost for bingo is the $.50 per card for the "cover all" at the end, only if you wish to participate.

3. Angelcat Haven Feline Rescue Of Plainville, will be holding a special “Smitten With Kittens” adoption event today from 5:30pm to 8pm at 36 Bacon Square (Desco Electronics) in Plainville. For each kitten adopted, a space will open up to save another stray cat's life. At Angelcat Haven you will speak directly with an experienced adoption coordinator who can recommend the best pet for you and your family. Please give these adorable, well-socialized and healthy kittens a chance, and open your home to an animal in need. There is a lovable pet waiting to join your family!

4. Love competing in trivia? Stop by Mr. Dooley's tonight from 7:30pm to 9:30pm for some Pub Trivia, hosted by Sean.

Is Dooley's open to do trivia? Last I checked, they did not have power.
