5 Things: Wrentham to Hold Charity Softball Game, Zoning Board to Meet, KP Sports Update, and More!

Today in 5 Things You Need to Know, town employees will face the Wrentham Police in a charity softball game, the Zoning Board will meet tonight, and more!

 

1. Sunny with a High of 81 Degrees.

After a few cooler days, the National Weather Service's forecast calls for a sunny day with a high of 81 degrees and a low near 53.

 

2. Charity Softball Showdown

This Friday, September 14, the Wrentham town Employees with face off with the Wrentham Police in a game of softball to benefit the Wrentham Teachers' Association Scholarship Fund.

First pitch is at 6:00 p.m. at McMorrow Field. Tickets are $3 for children, $5 for adults, and $20 for families.

 

3. Harriers Thrive Against Taunton

It was a solid day on the cross country course for KP as the girls beat Taunton with a near perfect score of 17-46 while the boys were edged out 28-30.

Owen Gosner led the way for the Warriors, winning the boys' race with a time of 16:30 while Katie Lukes won the girls' race, covering the 5K course in 21:20. The Warriors are off until next week when they come home to face rival Franklin.

5. Board Metting Tonight

The Zoning Board of Appeals will meet tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the Second Floor Confrence Room at Town Hall.
