Luminary Night (The Event)

Luminary Night is a special way to bring light and joy to the dark days of winter, while benefiting the organization Birthday Wishes and the homeless children we serve. On Sunday, December 2, 2012, at 5:00 PM neighborhoods across Wrentham, Norfolk, and Plainville will celebrate families and friends, good neighbors and community by lighting luminaries. 

Luminaries are white paper bags filled with a water-weighted, fully recyclable plastic container with a tea light taped on top, and are sold in kits of 12 for $20 each.  The proceeds of the donations and purchases of the luminaries will go directly to the “Birthday Wishes” foundation.  These donations will then go towards the birthday parties of the 15,000 homeless children we serve in 2013.  So please joy the fun of giving to the homeless children of the Northeast Region in this heart-warming event.

Birthday Wishes  (The Organization)

“Birthday Wishes” is a nonprofit organization collects donations, and volunteers to set up birthday parties for Homeless children all around the Northeast region.  Birthday Wishes believes that all children should have the privilege and opportunity to feel special for at least one day.  That is why Lisa Vansiloff, Karen Yahara, and Carol Zwanger created the nonprofit organization of “Birthday Wishes”.  “Birthday Wishes” collects all forms of donations, whether it is from events such as Luminary Night, and we accept volunteers for the parties that we throw for over 15,000 homeless children we serve per year.  Birthday Wishes is a beautiful cause, and is the perfect way to turn a community into a growing family.
